Are they taken only as ninjato techniques from the classic ninjutsu that Masaaki Hatsumi learned? Or are they more like Kenjutsu? Or a blend or fusion of all?

How do you arrange it to go to Japan and train with Masaaki Hatsumi? I know that he accepts American students and many of his students are American. Who do I contact and how does his selection program for his training work? And how far is his dojo from Tokyo or any other major city?

I just came across a video about a man named Masaaki Hatsumi , it said on the description that he was the last living ninja, and that the world would lose so much knowledge if he died, so I have a few questions if anyone can help
is Masaaki Hatsumi the last living ninja? I know he is the soke of several ninjitsu schools but does he not have an apprentice to replace him with whom he parts his most important secrets ?
and surely there are more living ninjas which just decide to remain hidden after all remaining hidden is a large part of being a ninja.
I was just wondering if anyone had any info on those questions

I have some questions about the Bujinkan Honbu Dojo in Chiba Japan.

1. Do they accept students from the united states?

2.Do you have to be trained already or something or will they just accept you what are the conditions.

3. Is the dojo still in Japan?

4.What kind of fighting style do they teach?

5.What are the hours and weekly times?

6.does it cost money to attened the dojo?

7.Do they only teach advanced classes? I would like to be able to train at the beginer level first .

8.Do you only train with master Masaaki Hatsumi because i know he’s quite old so he does not do alot of training and i need to train there at least 20 hours a week.

9.Do they have other insuctors and beginer classes?

10.How long is each class?

11.Will they accept an outsider or do you have to be invited?

My info

I have 12 years of kenjutsu traing not from a dojo but being taught from my sensei

I am trying to move to Japan for a year to train in hand to hand combat, physical streagth and ninja skills jumping of wall etc.

I know there is a user called the Bujinkan ninja on yahoo I could use his help to.

Are all of the “last grandmasters” of Ninjutsu authentic?

First of all, Ashida Kim is out of the question. That fool is not worth discussing. Masaaki Hatsumi, the grandmaster of the Togakure, Kumogakure, and Gyokushin schools claims to be the last Ninja. Anshu Christa Jacobson’s teacher was the grandmaster of Tomo Ryu Ninjutsu, an art passed down for 6 centuries. I don’t think she claims to be the last, however. Jinichi Kawakami, the founder and president of the Iga Ninja museum claims to be the only and last grandmaster. Are all of these "last grandmasters" authentic? The way they train seems to be very similar. I train in the Bujinkan, and I would like to train with Anshu, and I would like to visit the Iga Ninja museum, and I just wanted to know who’s authentic, and who’s not.
Hey Michael N, what the hell? go waste someone elses time.

Hi, I am green belt (Rokyu) in Karate at the moment. I was researching Bujinkan training in Japan, Chiba (espiacally Gyokko-Ryu)
I wanted to go train with Masaaki Hatsumi in one point of my life (either Gap year or after Uni), but I need some help…
What kind of things would I require? I heard he only teaches Judan (10th dan) so would be the ideal belt I could be to learn or get the most out of his training? How can I get in touch? Would I have to learn Japanese?
Any additional information would be great!

There is a museum in Mie, Japan, The Iga-Ryu Ninja Museum. It is registered under law as a certified museum by the Mie Prefectural Committee Board of Education.

http://iganinja.jp/2008/02post-68.html

(u must translate the Japanese)

It is the only Museum in the world of its kind, the only public Ninja museum in Japan (there are others claiming to be Ninjutsu Museums but they are not backed by the government).

The Iga-Ryu Ninja Museum has ancient Ninja documents and weapons. They have a whole section dedicated to Ninjutsu history and Historians interested in the subject often visit there. (They also have a part of the establishment meant for tourists and actors run around entertaining people………….but this is not the actual museum part………the museum part with the ancient documents and serious study is a separate part).

So, anyway to get to the point. This musuem publicly states that while there are many "researchers of Ninjutsu, there is only one heir to Ninjutsu…………and that is Jinichi Kawakami." Again, this is a museum certified by the government of Japan. The museum is the only one of its kind. It’s saying Jinichi Kawakami is the real-deal and the only Ninjutsu master left.

Jinichi Kawakami is also the honorary curator of the museum. This title was given to him as an honor for being the last real practitioner of Ninjutsu. The museum recognized his accomplishments and asked him to be the curator.

Jinichi Kawakami doesn’t teach anymore and the only one teaching the art is Yasushi Kiyomoto. Jinichi Kawakami trains very seriously:

His teacher, Masazo Ishida, was a member of the Japanese Special Forces.

So, what of Masaaki Hatsumi and Shoto Tanemura? The Iga-Ryu Ninja Museum does not consider them authentic Ninjutsu practioners. I know there have been many problems with Historians and such regarding Toshitsugu Takamatsu and Masaaki Hatsumi’s claims but to my knowledge I’ve never seen them discredited by a public museum certified by the Japanese government. I know a friend of Toshitsugu Takamatsu said he made up his Ninjutsu from childhood games. Everything most people know about Ninjutsu comes from them………………what if it is all wrong?
